SUP YOGA

SUP Yoga is the newest summer sport trend and depending on the conditions and the location no experience of either SUP or Yoga is necessary to try it, only a willingness to try and the ability to swim.
A SUP Yoga class typically starts with a short warm up paddle, often to the spot that you will be practicing yoga at and some instruction on how to use the equipment. This warm up then moves into a more yoga focussed class with seated breathing techniques, basic sun salutations and a bit of fun in practicing some harder variations of postures on the water.

About us : SIMOS NALMPANTOGLOU is a Sailing Coach , specializatied in Windsurf, from the Greek General Secretariat of Sports . He also graduated from the German School “WORLD WINDSURF SCHOOL” B / II – Lizenz and obtained a degree in International Windsurf Instructor – Manager for Inland and Coastal Waters in Garmisch Partenkirchen in Bavaria, and gained the right to issue International Diplomas . He is certified in Sports Sciences as Athletic Pedagogic Specialist & Psychology . He is also a BSUPA SUP Instructor .

Canoe Thessaloniki. Canoes are professionally used for transport of people and materials all over the world. Besides canoes are widely used for pleasure racing, whitewater canoeing, touring and camping, freestyle, and general recreation. Ιn our canoe adventure trips we will paddle the clear waters of the Aegean Sea, relax on deserted beaches, explore the remote, unique and spectacular coastline. We have a selection of single and tandem (double seat) sit on top canoes which are ideal for families, couples and friends. These trips are designed for people with little or no previous experience, but for more experienced kayakers as well, our canoe tours are the ultimate in “soft adventure”.
Canoeing is often confused with kayaking, another enjoyable paddling activity. In order to avoid any confusion, we decided to first discuss the two main differences that exist between a kayak and a canoe, being the position of the person(s) paddling and the raft itself. First, canoeist, often in pairs, bend their knees. Paddlers have the option of knelling and or sitting on benches that run across the beam of the craft. Second, canoes are usually open-top boats, often designed to seat two or sometimes three people with a one-bladed paddle whereas kayaking is done from a sunken, seated position with a double-bladed paddle and usually with a “spray deck” to keep the water out of the cockpit. In other words, a canoe is open whereas a kayak is enclosed.

Preparation
To really make the most of your next snorkeling trip, and leave the newbies in your wake, a bit of preparation is helpful.

Improve your swimming
If your swimming skills aren’t the best, take some swimming lessons at your local pool. And even if you’re a decent swimmer, becoming an even better swimmer will only benefit you in the water.
Focus in particular on the freestyle, as the kicking technique from that style is the one you’ll be using when snorkeling.

Improve your breath hold
Many snorkelers simply stay at the surface, and use the snorkel to breathe while looking down.
A number of more advanced snorkelers, though, move into skin diving territory by doing occasional dives below the surface while holding their breath.

This will allow you to get a much closer look of the marine wildlife, and you’ll explore reefs and other underwater features up close.
To maximize your time underwater, you can train your breath holding capacity, as well as your swimming efficiency.

For more experience hit up your local freediving club for hands on training and practice. With the growing popularity of freediving, these are becoming increasingly easy to find.
